I am in need of help because It's been driving me crazy for the last few hours that I can't figure out the problem. I don't know a lot about what I'm doing so please be patient with me. I'm usually the one working on websites already up but I need to run XAMPP because I need to run WordPress locally on my computer for a client. Whenever I open XAMPP nothing is running correctly and my window is full of errors. Originally I had a port problem with Apache and this error from MySQL:
11:12:02 AM [mysql] MySQL Service detected with wrong path
11:12:02 AM [mysql] Change XAMPP MySQL and Control Panel settings or
11:12:02 AM [mysql] Uninstall/disable the other service manually first
11:12:02 AM [mysql] Found Path: "C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin\mysqld" --defaults-file="C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\my.ini" MySQL
11:12:02 AM [mysql] Expected Path: c:\xampp\mysql\bin\mysqld.exe --defaults-file=c:\xampp\mysql\bin\my.ini mysql
I fixed the Apache port problem and now I'm getting this error from everything:
11:16:09 AM [mysql] Attempting to start MySQL service...
11:18:23 AM [Apache] Attempting to start Apache app...
11:18:24 AM [Apache] Status change detected: running
11:18:25 AM [Apache] Status change detected: stopped
11:18:25 AM [Apache] Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
11:18:25 AM [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
11:18:25 AM [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
11:18:25 AM [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
11:18:25 AM [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
11:18:25 AM [Apache] If you need more help, copy and post this
11:18:25 AM [Apache] entire log window on the forums
MySQl never even started this time. I'm completely lost as to what to do next. If anyone could help that would be completely appreciated. Thanks!
