Xampp hard drive related problem

Postby Eejit » 17. April 2014 17:01

Hello.

My laptop broke down, so I salvaged the hard drive containing my xampp installation. It is now hooked up to a desktop.

When I attempt to run Apache and MySQL from the control panel, I get:

18:02:31 [Apache] Status change detected: running
18:02:32 [Apache] Status change detected: stopped
18:02:32 [Apache] Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
18:02:32 [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
18:02:32 [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
18:02:32 [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
18:02:32 [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
18:02:32 [Apache] If you need more help, copy and post this
18:02:32 [Apache] entire log window on the forums

This means I cannot open my website or export the database to a diffrent xampp installation. Any idea how to re-gain access without the use of my fried laptop?

Thanks for all the help in advance.

Did you tried to execute the "setup_xampp.bat" in the xampp main dir?

Pictor,

You are my hero, it worked like a charm. Saved me countless hours of trying to figure it out.

Thanks again.
