I'm trying to set up XAMPP on a remote serve which I connect through windows remote server.

I couldn't launch neither Apache or MYSQL.
The apache problem I already solved it by stopping the service "Web deployment agent service" since it was using the same port that I needed to run apache (port 80).

Now I have to fix MYSLQ and none of the solutions I found here worked.

I have the same problem on Windows Server 2012, my install directory and all subs are set to Read Only so I'm trying to figure out what needs to change.

I figured out. It was a silly thing, someone had already installed SQL (mysql) so I already had SQL running
