How to connect from another computer?

Okay.. this is kind of urgent.. I hope someone out there can help me with this..

I ordered a dedicated server and it has Windows 2008 server on it right now.

I installed XAMPP and the apache service.

I tried localhost on the host dedicated server IP and it works.. but when I try to connect to the dedicated IP from my home computer, it times out.

I edited config and added the "allow from all" line also.

I had to use hamachi the last time for it to work and am not looking forward to using it again.. Any help?
