Whenever I try to access the Admin side of MySQL (I need to set up a new database) it returns this error:



#2002 - No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).



any suggestions?

Did you start MySQL successfully?

Yes, MySQL starts up without a problem.
