Connecting my domain from Godaddy to xampp

Hello All,

Bear with me, I know this is a noob question. I have installed Xampp 1.8.1 on a Windows XP machine behind my router. I have provided a static ip address to this machine which sits behind my router/modem. I have found the external ip address of the modem. For example 67.53.128.96. I then went into Godaddy's web interface and made the domain's a-record point to this ip address. I have also port forwarded port 80 on the router to my server(192.168.1.3). I can type in local host and I get the xampp "successfully installed" page. However if I try to access my domain anywhere other then within my LAN, I get a cannot display page error. Now, I changed the a-record about 24 hours ago. Could it be that it has not propagated to the DNS servers completely? . Do I need to set this within one of the xampp config files anywhere? Thanks in advance for any help.

Colin

This is beyond the scope of XAMPP.
