Can xampp be set up to effectively run as a home server?

Are there any directions for setting Xampp up as a home server. File server Etc.

XAMPP contains of very common webserver components, so technically this is possible.
However we don't support XAMPP in such environments => [INFO] How to not fail getting help here :: Scope of support
