firewall - skype - antivirus - who knows!

I guess that it might be due to some previously installed software that uses the ports without asking permission for doing that.
What bugs me is that when I reinstall my previous XAMPP distribution (completely) it works like charm!
I will try again to install the new one, but first uninstalling skype (as I have read in previous posts).
There are also some posts in the German section about problems with Apache2's new release and the need of using
, but make sure that it doesn't only concern to Win XP users.Win32DisableAcceptEx ON
I guess there was some comment on that in the Apache site's forum.
