Hello, I am trying to use Xampp for a development environment on my windows 7 64 machine.

I can install xampp fine however when I try setting up the development environment in htdocs for Jamroom it will not show the page. I have tried Allow all and everything under the sun to make it work. I have finally broke down and came here for some help. You can download Jamroom here. www.jamroom.net its free and open source. Can you tell me how to get it to show up on my localhost/test. It seems the default configuration doesn't allow it to work and I will have to go in and change the settings but im not quite sure which ones.

Right now when I try viewing the page It says I don't have permission.
I try giving permission and it changes back. I try also giving permission in ftp and it says im not able to do so.

Can someone show me how to properly set up jamroom from the beginning on Xampp please. Thank you!

Did you read the Requirements? => http://www.jamroom.net/the-jamroom-netw ... quirements

Server: A unix-based Operating System (Linus, Mac OS X, FreeBSD). Note that Jamroom does not run on Windows.

best wishes,

Ok thank you. I thought that by using the files in xammp it would run on the development machine like a linux environment. I appreciate you clearing this up for me.
