XAMPP on server machine vs desktop

Hi,

I upgraded my machine from Core i5 desktop to dual Xeon E5-2609 server machine with SSD and RAID configuration. But it seems that performance wise the desktop is faster than the new server machine.

I wonder if there's any compatibility issue.
