This is my first time trying to use this program and I received the following error

I would follow those instructions.

I did. The logs had no information. As in the page it brought up was blank. That's why I'm here. Read the last two lines.

Yes, exactly. Read the last two lines. Your control panel window doesn't start with "Status change detected". It should start with "Initializing Control Panel".
