I have installed xamp 1.8.2 successfully . Then I have installed Bitnami wordpress. I want to setup that www.mydomain.com will be the start page of wordpress. According to instructions I am able to setup that www.mydomain.com/worpress is a startup page. But i don’t want that my sites have permalink like www.mydomain.com/wordpress/gallery..

There is a how to on bitnami How to change the default URL to root?
I must say that I don’t understand what I should do. Can somebody help me what to write in which conf file that I will get what I want.

Search on google for rewrite rules. There are some good online tools to automate the process for you.

Can you be more precise or give a hint.
