RESOLVED New Install > Windows2003 Server >> ?? Set Path?

Good day and I am sorry to post, but I need to please.

1) New install of xampp on Win2003 R2, install went well and flawless [thank you] and everything worked off C:\ drive

2) I did a search : Search found 221 matches: +set +environment +path

3) What I "did" was then "cut" and "copy" the c:\xampp folder/files to f: [usb drive] and it no longer works, reason being is my drive is just a 9gig SCSI in old Dell PowerEdge 1300 and I was not going to have enough drive space

How may I add that to my path so that that localhost is recognized please?

Thanks in advance~~

Jim

Hi Jim,

Simply execute the setup_xampp.bat script after moving the xampp installation.
That corrects all needed paths.

best wishes,

Thank you Altrea, I just ran that command from the E;\ drive, all reported well (have image of results) can I attache here?

But, ==

I went to browser > localhost = Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost.

As I did not have it on, so now?? I must modify my Shortcut/Program files path?

I tried changing Start > All Programs > XAMPP > Start In C:\xampp

to E:\xampp

But will not let me...wants to "delete shortcut"

Am I better off dumping this? Thing is, the un-installer will not run either as set now.

Please don't bump your threads without any extra information, exept:
- your thread is pushed of the first page of the forum
- your thread don't get any reply for at least 1 week.

I don't use the installer versions so i can't say anything about the paths of the created icons in there.
Go to your XAMPP folder and start the control panel and try to start the needed components.
If you get problems post the contents of the control panel log window.

1) Sorry

2) I ran Unistall from Start Menu > Browse Path > It did remove start item, and more than likely registry items also

3) e:\xamp still resided

4) From Windows Explorer [File manager really] clicked on Unistall

5) Went thru process, prompting me...no errors.

6) Folder e:\xampp with all files still exist?

thanks...
