Problems after changing the apache port

Postby Zhongshu » 19. October 2013 18:57

My xampp runs perfect on port 80, no problem on localhost loading.
but when i try to change the port to 90 (or something else, like 100,800,2657......), localhost can not load anymore.
i was trying to solve this problem for one whole day.....i would really appriciate for your help! thx

I'm trying to let someone who is not in my LAN visit my site by IP:Port , he can ping my IP and domain name, but he can not open my site.

If it works with port 80, why would you like to change it?
Which settings do you have changed?
Have you restarted Apache after that?
Which URL did you try to request?

What does "he can not open" mean? How should we react to such an error report?
Well, i could say, that you are doing something wrong and the solution would be to do it correct... That's exactly as detailed as your error report...
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!
