Apache Friends Support Forum

I have my website that is running on xampp, this site contains an AJAX call to another website which isn't hosted on xampp but is on the same server.

When I am on the local network everything works perfect.

I have setup a virtual host and the webpage is loading ok, but the AJAX call doesn't work.

Do I need to enable anything else to allow the ajax call to function correctly, is cross browser security an issue?
