Every time I turn on the XAMPP, I get this message:
12:54:55 AM [Apache] Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
12:54:55 AM [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
12:54:55 AM [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
12:54:55 AM [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
12:54:55 AM [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
12:54:55 AM [Apache] If you need more help, copy and post this
12:54:55 AM [Apache] entire log window on the forums
How can I fix this?

Everytime the answer on this type of error reporting is:
not enough information. We need the entire contents of the XAMPP control panel log window not just an excerpt.

I suspect there is an answer here somewhere and I'll look for it but I am having the exact same issue as this user. Here is the dump of my xampp control log:

Also, I am running Apache on port 8080.

NEVERMIND!!! All Good!

What I did to fix it:
* right-click the installer and select "run as administrator"
* change skype settings to not use port 80 and 443 as alternatives
* run IIS on port 8080 and let xampp use the ports it wants (simplifies things)
