Apache Friends Support Forum

I am running xampp on a Win98 laptop that does not have an internet connection. I am using this laptop just to learn php, mysql, pear, etc. When I try to run certain requests I get an error message in Internet Explorer indicating "cannot connect, would you like to work offline?". Does anyone know how I can run "offline" without the connection error messages. I do not know what IE or network settings that would accomplish this.

Goto tools, connections and click never dial a connection.

Make sure you have the http server running!
