How can I add new PEAR packages to installation?

I installed XAMPP on Windows XP Professional. It works fine but when I try to run pear.bat I got a following errors:

C:\apachefriends\xampp\php>pear

Could anybody help me in this situation?

Its basically telling you that a file is missing or the path is wrong. Not much else to say really!

Your path -> c:\apachefriends\xampp\php\pear\PEAR\

Has pear in it twice and i am guessing its looking in the wrong one
