I actually started out looking for a Linux distro tuned for LAMP and stumbled arcross apachefriends.org via Google. I just downloaded the XAMPP Windows version. I look forward to working with it. I'll probably have some questions as I am somewhere between a novice and an intermediate user. Who knows, maybe I might even be able to help out by answering a question or two here in the forums after I test drive XAMPP over the weekend.
