The first time I started xamp everything worked fine. Then I turned off my computer and started it again, and now instead of going to localhost, it invokes the splash page in one of my html editors.

How do I get it to start the splash page back in localhost?

Have you tried to write http://localhost/ in your browser?

You can either try that or http://127.0.0.1/ or http://your_IP_adress/.
