Moving the htdocs folder and the files within

Postby dyla9drew » 21. July 2013 23:50

Hi all, I had to move my site files to a different location, but was not able to create an alias, so I changed the document root and moved the whole "htdocs" folder. I also moved the default files inside htdocs, including the folders "forbidden," "img," "restricted," etc. The XAMPP control panel seems to work fine, can someone tell me if moving the files and folders under htdocs is OK?

Hello,

As long as you updated all the references to it in the apache config files, yes that is fine.

Thanks very much for your help.

I updated the DocumentRoot entry in httpd.conf. Maybe I should update similar entries in httpd-ssl and https-xampp? What about the php ini files?
