Hi all,
I am a newbie.. don't know much about programming. I took a PHP/MySQL course and it used a drupal bundle. Now to continue my learning at home I have to get XAMMP installed and it is
proving to be a challenge.

I installed XAMMP on windows 7 and everything was working and then I xed out of the program without hitting quit. Now Apache and MySQL won't start.

This is my error message and logs. ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello,

Could you post the entire contents of your XAMPP Control Panel log window.

You should avoid installing XAMPP to your "Program Files" folder. The recommended location is C:\xampp or any location without spaces and/or special characters in the path.

Hello,

I suggest changing your install location. You can do this fairly easily:
1. Open the XAMPP Control Panel and make sure the Services buttons all have red 'X' (if not, click them until they are) and all modules are stopped then close the CP
2. Cut and paste the xampp folder to the root of your main drive (so it would be at 'C:\xampp' for instance)
3. Run 'setup_xampp.bat' to correct all the paths
4. Reopen the XAMPP control panel and reenable any services.
