Hello,

To the original poster, you most likely have a Windows Service blocking port 80. One common blocking service is World Wide Web Publishing Service. It is a component of IIS and can be stopped/disabled if you do not use IIS.

I also need the entire XAMPP Control Panel log window contents, any error messages from the Apache error log, and any errors received from running "apache_start.bat" in the main XAMPP folder to be able to tell what is going on.

My question is not about starting xampp, which i could do already, but if THERE IS A VERSION OF XAMPP THAT RUNS ON 64 BITS!

Any contribution?

Windows is able to run 32Bit programs even on its 64Bit OS.
I am running multiple older and current default Xampp releases on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

Hello,

Could both of you post the entire contents of your XAMPP Control Panel log window (right-click > select all > right-click > copy).
