Can't get started

Postby Glabella » 08. July 2013 15:43

Hi, everyone!
I don't have much experience in computer related stuff and I started to learn programming only some time ago. So, I feel pretty helpless and need some help. I installed XAMPP and got MySQL server started, but Apache started only for a few seconds and then switched off again. And the error log is empty.

17:43:18 [Apache] Status change detected: running
17:43:24 [Apache] Status change detected: stopped
17:43:24 [Apache] Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly.
17:43:24 [Apache] This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies,
17:43:24 [Apache] improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method.
17:43:24 [Apache] Press the Logs button to view error logs and check
17:43:24 [Apache] the Windows Event Viewer for more clues
17:43:24 [Apache] If you need more help, copy and post this
17:43:24 [Apache] entire log window on the forums

I've no idea what should I do. Any help?

Hello,

Could you post the entire control panel log window and not just the snippet?

Also, do you get any specific error messages if you run Apache_Start.bat in the main XAMPP directory?
