Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

attempting to start apache

Postby apachenoob770 » 30. June 2013 16:55

Sorry i'm totally new to this and can't find the button to create a new post, so I am just replying to this one.

I am using windows 1.8.2 however.

Anyways, I notice that whenever I try to start Apache the control panel says "attempting to start apache"... but it never actually runs. It doesn't crash either. It just says it is attempting to start apache indefinitely. Any idea what the problem may be? Thanks in advance!

We need:
  • The full contents of your XAMPP control panel log window
  • The full contents of your \xampp\apache\logs\error.log file
  • The response of your \xampp\apache_start.bat file which you have to execute in your windows command line

best wishes,
