Installed XAMPP No Problem | Problems After Bitnami Install

Postby TCacciola » 29. June 2013 22:41

Hello,

I'm kind of stuck here... I installed XAMPP no problem 1.8.1 No Problem and then I installed Bitnami for WordPress so I can run CMS Blogs on my localhost and if I type in "Localhost" it runs an error. Probably because when I open the XAMPP panel everything runs but Apache. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? If anyone could provide me with a solution I would greatly appreciate it. My system is a Dell Studio Windows 7 64 Bit.

Thanks,

Hello,

Are there any errors in the XAMPP Control Panel log window or in the Apache error logs?

I solved the problem. For reference if you install XAMPP 1.8.1 it runs on the same port as Skype or Port 80 so if you just turn off Skype XAMPP runs fine. Apache runs on Port 80 so does Skype FYI. Later- Teddy
