Hello,
I am new here and a newbie sort of working with xampp. I did have a successful website recently running on xampp. I decided that I wanted a different shopping cart so I building a new site with zen cart. I have it up and running with a fresh installation. When I access the site from an outside network, the index page doesn't show any pictures what so ever, and is a bare bones links page. Also, when I do click on a link...it kicks back to the local host if I access the site from the native computer via the external ip address that I put into the browser...or if accessed from a table...it kick up a 404 error. I am not sure why this is happening. If anyone has any help to offer I would be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance.

I am running xampp portable 1.8.1 (the latest) and the latest zen cart.

I am back. I am hoping that you can help me again Altrea! Or anyone who knows. I am having trouble understanding exactly what I need to change in the config file. I am also not certain which one as there is two but I am assuming it is the one in the included/admin folder. Please correct me if I am wrong. Maybe if I can get an example of what needs to be changed and how it would look if I was using lets say the domain "www.1234.com" for my website? I would be ever so grateful. Please excuse me if this sounds ignorant but as I said...I am rather new to this but can understand quicklu if explained on a "newbie" level.

Sorry, we can't provide any support for third party software like zen cart, because there are hundred of thousand of third party scripts out there just for php.

I tried but had no response. You were very kind to point me in the right direction tho! I did realize that the installation with the cart had issues so I did a fresh install a few times and finally got it. I hate to say it but zen cart has a lot of install problems from what I can see but it seems to be a good cart if you can get it installed and working right. On very install I have done so far I have found different bugs. This time around everything works but cant get the html editor to work even tho it worked on the last two tries!
