How to make a backup server?

Postby Tanoshimi » 29. April 2013 21:07

This might not exactly be an XAMPP question, but I think it's relevant.

So I have my server up and running. All is well. But what I'd like is to have a backup server so that if the computer running the server is down (power outage, crash, reboot for updates, etc), requests can be filled by one of the other computers (servers) on my network.

I'm using a Verizon Fios router and have the port forwarding set to the server. Not sure if this router can forward the same ports to two different computers, or if there's a way to set the port forwarding to go to another computer if the primary computer is off.

Anyone have a solution to this?

XAMPP is not made or supported for live/productive environments.
We don't provide any support via personal channels like PM, email, Skype, TeamViewer!
