Sybase-Ct

I just wanted to ask has anyone managed to get the Sybase-Ct PHP module to work under XAMPP 1.8.1 under Windows, I'm using Windows 7 x64 and I can't get the darn thing to work, I've installed the Microsoft drivers but they won't connect to a sybase database.
I've installed the Sybase ASE PHP driver as part of the ASE installation but it errors or crashes when I start Apache.
Any ideas?
