Changing PHP date & time zone

I'm a newbie to XAMPP and just installed 1.8.1. :D Having said that, I'm not able to find the php.ini file to change the date & time zone. :( I have found two php.ini files called php.ini.development and php.ini.production, neither of which I'm able to modify. I know that this has been covered by other posts, but I'm not seeing a solution for this in 1.8.1. Thanks for any help you can send me.

Hi Charley Dickson,

Please start new threads with the words "Hi" or "Hello". A short salutation is an act of politeness. Even if the internet is an virtual area, there is always a human being behind the screen. A polite beginning is the first positive impression you can leave here and helps to get polite answers too. Please keep that in mind if you start a new thread in any community board. Thank you.

Those two are just templaes (examples) how php settings can look like for production or development environments.

Have you hidden known file extensions in your windows explorer? Then the file will look just like php and not php.ini. It is best practice to not hide known file extensions.

best wishes,
Altrea

P.S.: Deleted your email address from your posting. We don't provide any help via personal channels like PM, Messangers, Remote Assistant, Email, etc here. That is a very basic rule of many community boards. The community should be able to participate from issues and solutions of the other users.

Hi Altrea, and everyone else. Thanks for the tips on board courtesy. Not meaning to offend, just new, and I appreciate your kind words.

Taking your advice, I pondered into the PHP configuration file and found what I needed to change. It worked, so thanks for your help and guidance.
