Dear sir,
Hope you are well today.I recently installed Xampp 1.8.1 but my home page for PHP My admin looks different from others in that the home page doesnt provide the "create database" and "create table" on the home page.However it does provide it at the side.Does this cause any issues when working with it.(see wot my home page looks like below and please advise accordingly.I am a novice and only started learning how to use the programme.

Which others? That all depends on the phpmyadmin version.

yes, the create database functionality can now be found in the Database tab.

Normally not. Some older browsers does have issues with the new AJAX based theme of phpmyadmin.
