vhosts and domain name problem

Hey all, Ive managed to set up vhosting for two of my sites, however, when i type the url to my site e.g. http://example.com it takes me to http://example.com which is what i want it to do but when i click a link it takes me to e.g. http://82.1.1.1/link replacing the domain name with my servers ip address. Am i missing something?
