Mysql server on local area network

Postby klausveliu » 14. March 2013 11:26

Hello to everyone,
I have installed the lasted version of XAMPP on my computer and it works great. I have an issue with an desktop application, when I run it on my computer I hive the host variable the IP 127.0.0.1, but I don't know what IP should I give when the application is run from an another computer connected to the switch.
I have tried to enter my IP e.x 192.168.1.2, but with no result.

Could someone give me an advice how can I configure the mysql server to be connected from other network computers?!

What kind of application is this "desktop application" and what is the part of Xampp in this scenario? Which "host variable" do you mean, where do you specify the value for this variable?
