Database connection error (2): Could not connect to MySQL

Postby LRHERRIMAN » 26. February 2013 21:05

I've installed a password in xampp and now I cannot get to any of my pages on my local host. I only get the error Database connection error (2): Could not connect to MySQL. I'm new to this and not very techie, so it's very probable I installed the password with the wrong settings.

Any advise is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I too am getting the Database connection error. I'm unable to access phpmyadmin in Xampp. I was attempting to locate my user password for a databse and my laptop crashed, when it came back I had no access. I've re-installed Xampp, but no change. Any help would be appreciated.

@ Beanphoto - Are you also running Joomla?

Irregardless of Joomla or not - you would probably have to edit config.inc.php if you reinstalled.

Good Luck
