Installing Xampp on XP Pro.

Hi, I'm wanting to install Xampp on Xp pro. and i was wondering is there anything to should do to my windows OS before i install it. This makes bout 4 times ive installed xampp i just want to make sure everything is in order this time.I'm a noob to this developing thing so please dont get mad at this post. Just looking for tips and advice.Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for me. other than the post already posted.

This question is much to generic, so i can't give you a good answer.

You should fit the requirements:

If thats given, just install XAMPP to the recommend path C:\xampp, start the XAMPP control panel, click on the Start buttons of the needed applications and everything should be fine.
If not, we need full error messages from the XAMPP control panel, Apache, MySQL, whatever.

That's a very generic answer, but i don't know what answer you expect :D
