MySQL won't install

after downloading the xampp program i have tried to install the mySQL service and it continues to fail. Is there a way that i can figure out why this is happening? or is there a simple fix to the situation?

Hello,
Any error messages you are getting would be helpful. Also, are there any errors in your MySQL error log?
Additionally, could you post the entire log window of the XAMPP Control Panel.
