problem with download via http

Hi,
i have installed xampp 1.8.1 on windows 2003 (ntfs) and there's a problem.
in a directory i have several pdf files, but when i tried to reach this file via http, if the files size is higher than 1,5 MB the browser don't display it.
i've tried several solution and i've done several research on the web but the problem is still active.

Do you know any solution?
