Greetings,
1st time here .
I need a portable webserver:
window7 , x64 ,
I installed xampp xampp-portable-win32-1.8.1-VC9-installer.exe
here: C:\XAMPP
Then tried some of the *.bat files , none worked .
Pls, how do I config xampp ?

or is this the best choice ?
how 'bout wampserver
or EasyPhp (wamp portable, I think) .
or whatever ?

Yes, here: C:\XAMPP

I installed it on C:\xampp_portable first ,
then went and changed it to C:\XAMPP .
Should I reinstall it ?

I'm thinking if it will be on your c: you should just install the full xampp. The setup is pretty self explanatory once you start up the program.

I just needed to start "apache_start".bat"
