on the web doesnt work

Installed version xampp is xampp-win32-1.8.1-VC9
Installed OS windows 7
Problem :
localhost works great however when i try to acces on the web http://mij ip ,
does it ask for pasword to get acces.
i didnt set a pasword though .
Can any one tell me how to solve this problem ?
