Apache Friends Support Forum

Hey guys,
Im just about to start learning how to use PEAR with PHP but something is weird:
when i try to run the command 'PEAR list' to see what packages PEAR under XAMPP
ships with i get 'no packages installed from channel pear.php.net' but in the pear dir
i can see all these files , one of which is DB and im pretty sure that a module used
with PEAR....
so anything wrong with my configuration or something ?
