apache monitor is empty

apache monitor is empty

i installed and uninstalled apache to try and get it to work. now im trying xampp.
so xampp wont start apache and when i click on the apache start button on the xampp control panel, it just crashes
and also the apache service monitor is blank. it doesnt have any services like "apache2"

-xampp when it starts

-and xampp when i try to start apache

[EXCEPTION] System Error. Code: 3.
The system cannot find the path specified
[EXCEPTION] Access violation at address 005ABEFE in module 'xampp-control.exe' Read of address 00000042

any help is appreciated

Could you try grabbing the latest control panel and see if that makes a difference: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=48932
