error message when trying to open a pdf

i am getting the following message when i try and open a document.the doc is quite large so it is taking a bit of time to load.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in C:\xampplite\htdocs\london\test\classes\pdf_parser.php on line 1207

could you tell me how i increase the max execution time please as i am stuck as to how to do this
