Cannot start Apache [Solved]

Postby MasterGberry » 24. August 2012 16:03

When I am trying to start Apache 1.8 I get this message by running the apache batch script:

Code: Select all
Diese Eingabeforderung nicht waehrend des Running beenden
Bitte erst bei einem gewollten Shutdown schliessen
Please close this command only for Shutdown
Apache 2 is starting ...
httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 70 of C:/xampp/apache/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load C:/xampp/apache/modules/mod_authn_default.so into server: The specified procedure could not be found.

Apache konnte nicht gestartet werden
Apache could not be started
Press any key to continue . . .o

I recently "upgraded" from 1.7.4 which I installed nearly a year ago. Looking at this file I found that it was last modified in 2010...(so it's still from the old version?) Has this file not received any updates recently? And if not then how can I get my apache to start again :(

And yes I have read http://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=51021 :)

Thanks
