hi all ,

until just now xampp did work fine.

at once i get the error about port 80.
port check chows system using it?

so i change to port 81.

according to control panel all ok.
reality check: a joomla install can't find database , so forget the install.

did run the xampp screen in the browser, there it says that except https all services are disabled????

anyone who knows how to find out what piece of crap is using port 80 so i can return to working condition?

You are probably running a program using port 80 or 443. Skype, vmware, iis?

well that 'netstat' button works pretty well.

update

i just use localhost:82 now ( that's the port i did set in xampp)

but for the moment i'm switching to linux.
windows 7 wasn't a sun, win8 doesn't look beter..

for the moment happy on debian , except the fact that it is a bit searching to get xampp-sites online in debian.
