Making a Forum using Joomla

I have downloaded and installed XAMPP vs. 3.0.12 and Joomla 2.5.6. Now I want to build a site which will include a forum. Can anybody help me, please? I am totally new to Joomla. I need some help badly. Please help.

A. - This is the wrong place for help on scripts (web apps & programs). This is a forum for help with installation and support for XAMPP.

B. - Joomla has its own online docs/wiki and support forum. The people there are experts

Thank you JonB. I have installed XAMPP without any problem and everything is running fine, till now! Now I need some help to make a forum using Joomla! Thank you for your concern and so quick reply! I will definitely ask for help if anything goes wrong with XAMPP.
