Apache Friends Support Forum

I have just installed XAMPP 1.7.7 down from apachefriends.org website via sourceforge.net mirror. I selected the English download option. O/S is Win 7 Professional SP1. phpMyAdmin comes up in English (US) and both phpMyAdmin 5.3.8 and MySQL 5.5.16 are started as services. Product was installed in C:/xampp. Unfortunately, MySQL is in German. Would like it to be in English (US). Thanx. John

Its not 'MySQL' that is in German, its the phpMyAdmin interface choice.

In phpMyAdmin - click on the "Home Icon"

In the right pane find "Anzeige-Einstellungen"

drop down menu - "Sprache - Language"

Select English - ~voila~ (as they say in French)
