XAMP 1.7.7 Silent Install Not working

Postby Surehand57 » 26. June 2012 09:55

Hi,

I am trying to deploy XAMPP to Windows 7 Pro x86 silently.
I'm using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007.

I created a package that runs a program:

<package_path>\xampp-win32-1.7.7-VC9-installer.exe /S /D=C:\XAMPP

The problem is that silent installation stops and after timeout it fails.

To my knowledge the reason for this behavior is a warning message that I cannot find how to avoid.
The message is
"Important! Because an activated User Account Control (UAC) on your system some functions of XAMPP are possibly restricted..."
The setup then sits and waits for "OK" button to be pressed, but in silent mode, of course there is no one to press this button.

Can somebody help me to get this silent installation right.

Thanks and regards
