MySQL is deactivated if not connected to internet.. [SOLVED]

Postby Minefox » 23. June 2012 08:18

Hi guys! I've been looking for the solution to the problem of MySQL being deactivated (I seldom use the unit in surfing, where the XAMPP is installed). I cant find a solution to the problem. It says
#2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured)
. MySQL is deactivated..

But this problem disappears if i am connected to the internet (im online). :o I really dont know where to look at for its proper setup. Please help!

Do you have a mapping of 127.0.0.1 to localhost in your hosts file?

If not, create one, and restart - check results

Good Luck
