FTP Connection

Hi

Loaded Xampp 1.7.7 on windows XP. Everything is running fine at localhost:8080.

PROBLEM: Cannot get an ftp connect. In the FileZilla Server I get:
Connecting to server...
Connected, waiting for authentication

but not authentication.

In the FILEZILLA CLIENT for the connection get the following:

Status: Resolving address of localhost
Status: Connecting to 127.0.0.1:8080...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server
Status: Waiting to retry...

Keeps retrying with same result. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE could anyone help.

OK - I'm kinda lost here:

A. - how are you attempting to connect to the FileZilla server?


B. - Why (and from where) are you trying to connect to localhost via FTP?

Status: Resolving address of localhost
Status: Connecting to 127.0.0.1:8080...
