Incorrect XAMPP Version # Displayed
Posted: 11. May 2012 13:24I installed 1.7.7 and un-installed because it had problems during installation and did not work on Windows 7
I un-installed 1.7.7 and intalled 1.7.1.
1.7.1 installs and runs perfectly. The only issue is that when I run localhost/xampp it displays XAMPP version 1.7.7. Apparently, the un-install of 1.7.7 left the version # somewhere and 1.7.1 is picking it up. Other than that 1.7.1 works perfectly.
Can I manually change the XAMPP version number to display correct version # 1.7.1, instead of 1.7.7 so that 2 months from now when I forget about this issue ans I see XAMPP 1.7.7 displayed I don't get confused?
